BD3 Status Update: Q4 2025

During the fourth quarter of 2025 (October 1 – December 31), the carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility at Boundary Dam Power Station captured 232,826 tonnes of CO2. The CCS facility was available 99.3 per cent of the time, and while online had a daily average capture rate of 2,826 tonnes.
The acid plant at CCS also produced a monthly record amount of 805 tonnes of acid in December, and Q4 the second highest quarterly acid production rate since startup.
In total, the CCS facility captured 721, 239 tonnes of CO2 in 2025. The facility has captured 7,327,868 tonnes captured since operations began in 2014.
