Electrical Charges - Industrial (E50 Rate) Info
We calculate how much you will pay for the power used last month in this section of the bill breakdown.
E50 is for metered industrial customers greater than 75 kilovolt amperes (kVA) and up to and including 3,000 kVA.
Basic Monthly Charge is based on your rate category and is a charge that all customers pay regardless of the amount of power used.
On-Peak Energy Consumption is the monthly energy consumed between the hours of 7:00 – 22:00 hours Monday through Friday excluding statutory holidays.
Off-Peak Energy Consumption is the monthly energy consumed in all hours except for the on-peak hours.
Recorded Demand is the maximum kVA demand registered during the billing period.
Billed Demand is a percentage of the maximum billed demand in the preceding 11 months or the Recorded Demand during the billing period (whichever is the greatest amount). Since the ratchet is applied to billing demand, it may extend beyond a year in some cases.
