Facts about the Alameda Heat Recovery Facility

  • Owned by NRGreen Power Limited Partnership.
  • There are 4 waste heat units in Saskatchewan. They are all built at the Alliance Pipeline’s compressor stations. They recover the exhaust heat from natural gas turbines and make power.
  • The gas turbine produces power without adding new emissions into the environment. It also doesn’t use water for operations.
  • The waste heat units were built and manufactured by Ormat and General Electric (GE).
