1. I purchased an eligible product online; can I get a discount on this from SaskPower?
No, the intent of the program is to get the discount in-store. Eligible products purchased online will not be discounted.
2. I purchased an eligible product from a participating retailer but a discount was not applied, what should I do?
We recommend first reaching out to the in-store manager to resolve the issue directly with them. If the store does not provide a discount on an eligible product, you can contact us, and we will investigate the case for you.
3. I wasn’t able to purchase an eligible product from a participating retailer because a discount wouldn’t be applied, what should I do?
If a participating retailer did not provide you with a discount, you can ask to speak to the in-store manager. For eligible items, the manager may be able to manually apply the discount.
If the product discount is not offered by the retailer or programmed into their inventory, you could visit another participating retailer that carries the product, as products will vary from store to store.
4. Why doesn’t a retailer participate with an eligible product(s) even though they sell it in-store?
The selection of discounted products varies by store. SaskPower provides retailers with a list of all products eligible for discounts, and each store decides which items they will stock and offer rebates on.
5. I went to a participating retailer but they do not have the eligible product in-stock, what should I do?
We recommend asking the in-store manager if they are able to order the product for you, if so, you may be able to pick it up at a later date. Check out the full list of our participating retailers.
6. I was told at a participating retailer that I can get the discount by emailing SaskPower, not at checkout.
Unfortunately, this is incorrect. This is an in-store only discount program providing instant discounts at the point of purchase. We do not require customers to fill out any forms or emails to get their discount.
7. Why aren't there discounts on light bulbs and fixtures this time?
Due to increased energy efficiency standards, less efficient lighting options are being phased out. While lighting is a great way to start your energy efficiency journey, utilities across Canada have moved away from discounting these items.
