Our Energy Education Series – Power Talks is back! This fall we’re hosting 4 sessions that cover topics you’ve asked about the most:
Connecting Power Grids: Imports, Exports and Interties
Oct. 4 from 12 to 1 pm
It’s going to take a diverse mix of power supply options to reach net-zero GHG emissions from the power grid. What role could interconnections play in our power future? And just how do we import and export power with neighbouring jurisdictions now? Register for this session to get the scoop on what goes into energy trading, which markets we trade with and how power purchase agreements work.
Customer Renewable Programs: Alternatives to Self Generation
Oct. 12 from 12 to 1 pm
Join our Customer Solutions team to learn about new renewable offerings we’re considering for residential customers. This session will focus on offerings that allow customers to participate in the renewable market without the hassle and up-front costs associated with installing rooftop solar. We want to hear about what’s important to you and share what we’ve been hearing from Saskatchewan residents so far.
The Business of Power: Cost, Competitiveness and Funding the Clean Energy Transition
Reaching net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the grid is critical. But how much will it cost, and how are we going to pay for it? Join this session to learn about power rates and markets, the historic and current cost of energy, how we fund large-scale projects, and much more!
Power and the Environment: Impacts, Trade-offs and Making Sound Choices - Recording coming soon!
When it comes to environmental issues there’s more to consider than just GHG emissions. Join leaders on our Environment team to learn about other environmental considerations like land footprint, site reclamation, and many more. They’ll also share our environmental approach and highlight some of the key environmental regulations that we follow.
