Getting around Saskatchewan in an EV is getting easier, but there are still areas that don’t have charging stations available.
To address this, we created the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program (EVIP). This program will help fund the development and installation of up to 20 public EV fast charging stations across the province. Once the infrastructure is in place, there will be more opportunities to charge an EV during road trips in Saskatchewan.
The EVIP application submission window is closed.

Our Review Process
We review applications based on specific criteria. The first factors we consider are how close a proposed station is to a main highway and if it’s in an area that doesn’t already have charging stations. Then we take stock of what other services and facilities are in the area. From there we consider things like the applicant’s experience, equipment and project plan.
Our EVIP is supported by Natural Resources Canada’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program.
