SaskPower has re-launched the Energy Efficiency Discounts Program, following the success of the program in the fall of 2023.

Launched on May 13, the Energy Efficiency Discounts Program offers instant in-store savings on the purchase of select energy-efficient products in more than 70 retail locations in Saskatchewan.

“We understand that affordability is a top concern for our customers, and SaskPower is committed to helping them reduce their power use and lower their power bills,” said Rhea Brown, SaskPower Executive Vice-President of Customer Experience & Procurement. “SaskPower is working hard to decarbonize our grid, and energy efficiency is an important part of achieving a net-zero power system.”

The program offers discounted prices on products like LED bulbs, light fixtures, lighting controls, smart thermostats and ventilation fans. Last year’s program saw Saskatchewan residents purchase over 61,000 eligible products, with overall discounts totalling approximately $275,000.

The SaskPower Energy Efficiency Discounts Program, funded in-part by Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Future Electricity Fund, will run until July 2, 2024, or while supplies last.
