Business Support

  • Provide front-line service and information to customers via phone and in person.
  • Respond to inquiries, complaints, and outage notifications, escalating when needed.
  • Deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers, following quality standards.
  • Use effective questioning to identify customer needs. 
  • Diploma or certificate in business administration or related field AND/OR
  • 2 years of previous experience in an administrative or customer services 
  • Ability to cooperate and deal tactfully with other staff and the public
  • Aptitude for accuracy and detail
  • Ability to implement and make sound decisions
  • Ability to use standard corporate software applications (Microsoft, SAP, etc.)
  • Ability to provide extraordinary customer service for all internal and external customers 

Customer Experience Representative

  • Customer Support: Handle inquiries, billing, and account services across multiple channels.
  • Account & Payment Processing: Manage payments, refunds, arrears, and account updates.
  • Data & Record Management: Maintain customer data, communications, and departmental records.             
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, Certificate or Program in Business Administration, or equivalent AND/OR;
  • Two (2) years of customer experience, financial service industry experience or hospitality experience utilizing standard corporate software applications (Microsoft Office Suite), or equivalent 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with sound decision-making ability.
  • Works well independently and in team 

Labourer

Utility Worker (Labourer) – Generation:

  • File temporary reassignments, like operating power station and line equipment
  • Perform construction and maintenance
  • Operate heavy equipment
  • Maintaining logs and reports

Utility Worker (Labourer) – Transmission and Distribution:

  • File temporary reassignments
  • Perform construction and maintenance activities
  • Work on our Transmission and Distribution system
  • Able to move around Saskatchewan for temporary work
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Works well with others
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Mandatory drug and alcohol testing to comply with SaskPower’s Fit for Duty Policy

Meter Reader

Members of this team will have temporary full- or part-time work until 2026.

  • Read power and gas meters
  • Record electrical and gas use
  • Complete forms and reports
  • Ability to move anywhere in Saskatchewan and accept temporary work
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Mandatory drug and alcohol testing to comply with SaskPower’s Fit for Duty Policy

Power Line Apprenticeship

  • Participate in a 4-year power line apprentice program to receive an Interprovincial Journeyperson Power Lineperson Certificate
  • Ability to move anywhere in Saskatchewan and accept temporary work
  • Entrance requirements under the Provincial Apprenticeship and Trades Certification Standards
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to obtain an 1A
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Works well with others
  • Mandatory drug and alcohol testing to comply with SaskPower’s Fit for Duty Policy

Operators (Class 3 and 4 Tickets)

  • Operate power station boilers and associated auxiliaries
  • Assist with operations and monitoring of power station turbines, generators and associated auxiliaries
  • Conduct inspections
  • Make corrections to enhance power station efficiency
  • Maintain shift logs
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and location around the province
  • Hold a 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineer’s Certificate
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
  • Previous experience as a Facilities Operator or equivalent
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Works well with others
  • Mandatory drug and alcohol testing to comply with SaskPower’s Fit for Duty Policy
